CarrieB2007

My name is Carrie and I'm 30 years old (Babycenter name is CarrieB2007). My husband Rhys is 32, and we've been married for 2 years, together for 5. I'm a sales manager and also maintain an eBay business selling high-end baby/children's clothes. Needless to say, I had WAY too many baby clothes saved even before I got pregnant. :)

Rhys is a classically trained violinist ~ he's AMAZING, went to Juilliard and USC~ and we opened our own music studio together last October called Mosaic Music in Yorba Linda, CA. He teaches private violin & viola lessons to around 45 students of all ages. It is the most romantic thing being married to a violinist who is fantastic with kids. He's going to make an incredible daddy!

When we decided it was time to start a family, I knew I'd want to be a stay at home mom (or at least have the option). We kept going over our budget and decided that we would try to conceive starting January 2007. I figured we would have a few months before we got pregnant to get used to the idea... nope! Preggo, first try. We really wanted to have an October baby, so we felt very lucky... until I had the worst morning sickness EVER, for 8 solid weeks. I told Rhys that this may be an only child. :) Now I'm feeling much better and starting to enjoy my pregnancy more. We just found out we are having a boy, so designing the nursery is in our near future.
We are living in Orange County, CA because this is where our family is, but plan to move north by the time we have a second baby (Washington or Oregon~ we need rain and trees!). We just wanted to have the first grandchild close so that my mom can enjoy him every day(and I can enjoy the free babysitting!) It's also incredibly expensive to live in OC these days.

I'm so happy to have all my October Mommies to go through this with, I don't know what I would have done without you!

Carrie~ my mom's whole family is in/from Orange! I love it there! We're there at least once a year visiting my grandparents. You just can't beat the weather. And the little neighborhood she is in is so cute; they have neighborhood parades and stuff. But being from WA, I have to say I love the trees and green, the fresh air, and the less stressful traffic. :-)
Thanks for the pics! Great belly shot!!!
