scottsgirl2007 and first bellies!!

Katrina (scottsgirl2007) emailed me with the first official belly photo! Awesome!! Doesn't she look so cute?!?!
Katrina, I can't believe you already have such a great pregnant-looking belly for being 12 weeks! Are you just loving it?! Are you telling people already? If you haven't already, I bet people are really starting to wonder. :-)

Well, since Katrina was brave enough to post her belly, I thought I better step it up. I started this blog. I better be open to everyone seeing my belly too. So, here is my 11 week belly photo, with my belly bare. (gasp)
It hasn't grown hardly at all since then. I used to have a very defined waist. Not sure where that went. :-) hehehe
Anyone else feeling brave enough to send theirs?

issstreer

My name is Stephanie. My baby center screen name issstreer. I am 24 years old and I have been married for almost 3 years. My husband's name is John and he is 27. We went to high school together, although we are not high school sweethearts. We were both born and raised in Athens, GA (home of UGA) and will probably live here the rest of our lives (both of our families are still here).
We are both Insurance Agents and share an office. John has been really understanding of the pregnancy and I have not had to work that much during these exhausting days of the first trimester. This is our first baby (besides our cat) and we are very excited (also a little scared). We went last week and got our first ultrasound of the baby, so I figured I would share that picture as well. My EDD is October 19. I look forward to sharing this journey with everyone else!
*****
I think that makes the baby about 9.5/10 weeks in this photo? Is that right? So awesome! I only got an u/s at 7 weeks and it looked like a tiny blob. This actually resembles a baby! Can you just not wait till the 20 week one? To see his/her little face and fingers and toes...I can't wait!!!

Sarah10022007

Hey Ladies! My name is Sarah (Sarah10022007), I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and my DH and I were married on October 5th, 2006. I'm 25 and my DH is 30. He has a 3 year old daughter from his first marriage who lives with us every other week. My DH and I are so excited to be having a baby--something I've wanted for as long as I can remember! A childhood story my Mom likes to tell about me is when we were living in England (I was 5) there was a documentary on the BBC about breastfeeding, and I guess she found me later trying to breastfeed my cabbage patch doll!! Overall I've had a very forgiving pregnancy and don't have many complaints. My m/s never included vomiting, so I am one of the lucky ones. I've had 3 u/s so far, all of which have just been amazing. I'm truly loving my belly bump, and at my 13 week mark I'm so excited for the second trimester!!

****
Welcome to the second trimester, Sarah!!! Isn't it wonderful?! I seriously thought it would never come! Now I know that the 19 week ultrasound isn't as far away as it sounds. :-)
We share a due date and I am excited to chat more and compare symptoms as the weeks continue. Will you be posting some belly pics? I can't wait to see how different we all look, even though we are due in the same month. I love how God made us all so unique and beautiful in our own ways.

laneale

My name is LaNeale Robertson. My baby center screen name is laneale. My EDD is October 3rd. I live in Edmond, OK which is a suburb of Oklahoma City. My husband, Chris, and I have been married almost 4 years. We have two other children, Maddie and Deuce, two two-year old dobermans. They are so great. I work as a pharmaceutical sales representative and my husband is a home builder. We cannot wait for this baby! This will be the first grandchild on both sides.

****
Congrats LaNeale! We have so much in common; I'm due Oct 2nd and this is also the first grandchild on both sides, too. It's a lot of pressure, huh?! We really felt it for the last 4 years of married life..."when are you two going to make us grandparents?" was the question from all seven parents until we finally gave in just to keep them quiet. :-)~ hehehe I really think it was nice to wait...we had some great bonding time as a couple.

Moss1018

My name is Melissa Moss and I've been on baby center a few times, posted a couple of things, but mainly read others. My sister-in-law was the one that told me about it because she had a baby last March and she really learned alot from everyone so I view the forum on a weekly basis. It's so interesting to see how many other women are going through the same things that I am.
Here's a little information about me. I'm 30, my husband Ben (who is 33) and I have been married (will be four years Oct 18th). First baby. Almost took a year of trying. We have two cats. I work at a Bank and my husband is a supervisor at True Manufacturing; they make coolers like the ones you see in gas stations that holds the sodas. EDD is Oct. 23rd. Am really excited I think more than my husband is. We live just outside of St Louis, MO.

NubbyOne

Hi there,

My name is Amanda but my babycenter screen name is Nubby One. My husband and I live in New York and our EDD is September 30, 2007. It was Oct.2, 2007 but my Doc. changed the date after my last sonogram. Can I still stay and play with all you October Mommies?? :-)
I am an opera singer and just celebrated my 35th birthday!! My husband and I have been married for over 7 years but together for almost 11 yrs. We met our first year in Graduate School and haven't looked back since. We are so excited about our baby; I can hardly stand it. Don't have any tummy photos yet but will add some soon. Here is a picture of my DH and I taken last summer.
Looking forward to reading about all of you guys

ChristyK2002

I am Christy from Milford Michigan with an EDD of anywhere from 10/27 to 11/2 and will find out more on Thursday when I go in for my first u/s (yeah!!). I am so excited to finally be preggo! I say finally b/c I have wanted to be a mommy for a long as I can remember, but I actually got pregant on the first month after getting off the pill. I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw those two pink lines and feel so blessed! I feel for all the ladies out there who have been trying for a long time and will never take for granted what a gift it truly is! Can you beleive all the crazy changes that take place in just the first 12 gestational weeks??!!
Thanks Lauren for setting up this blog! Now I have to go eat for the second time since I woke up b/c I'm starving again! BTW, I listed some really great books on the baby center blog page 15.

CrankyGirl2007

I'm Valerie currently residing in Houston, TX. My husband and I will celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary on August 3rd and are thrilled about the arrival of our first child in October. (EDD 10/10).
We have a 6 year old canine baby named Chloe. I work as a special ed. teacher. My screen name comes from my poor DH who tries to laugh at my crazyhormones by jokingly calling me "cranky" all the time. On especially bad days, he says "SO cranky" and holds his fist up in the air and pretends to turn a crank. At least he's taking all the crazy pregnancy stuff in stride. I'm grateful for his humor and for his patience!!
Excited about being here! WooHoo for October Babies!

KimmaryM

Well...here's a little background about me....I'm 28, so is DH. My birthday is October 23rd, and my EDD is October 4th. This will be our first baby. We live in Baltimore, MD. We will have been married for 5 years on August 16th, 2007.

We are both animal people: we have 2 Bedlington Terriers, a Himalayan Cat, a Maine Coon, and a mixed cat, plus a lovebird and 2 fish tanks!
I have 1 degree in Accounting and 1 in Art. I am an accountant, ballet teacher, and artist. I hate accounting! My husband, Bryan, is a fire safety inspector for Siemens.
****
I love that you are an account, have your degree in it, and hate it. :-)~ So true, unfortunantely, for so many people. My DH finally quit his job as a mechanic, that he'd been doing for 6 years and was so good at, but he wasn't happy and that is so much more important than people realize. Hope you get more ballet and art opportunities coming your way! What a well rounded education your baby will get from the both of you!

MommyMartin2B

So this blog thing might get a little confusing for me but I'll give it a whirl! LOL

Here's my bio:

My name is Amy (MommyMartin2B). My husband Derek and I just got married on October 21, 2006. We live in NH. I am 23 and DH is 26. We are expecting our first child, EDD 10/24/07. We are looking forward to being parents, and have been for quite some time now. We've been together for a little over 7 years now. We wanted twins, but weren't expecting it since it doesn't run in either of our families and just found out yesterday we're only having 1 little peanut. We both prefer a boy first, but of course we'll be happy with a healthy baby of either gender. Looking forward to getting to know you all. Hopefully I can figure out how this whole blog thing works! ; ) Talk to you soon!

****
You're already doing great Amy! You even figured out the picture, which causes the most problems for newbies. Congrats on the new marriage and your new peanut! You are in a pool of Oct 24th babies....Christine, Alli, Serena, Karli, and Amina!

Simba, a Shiba Inu and our first child

Had to post a picture (or two) of my son.

Last year On our cruise Jan 07

Pumpkin momma

I went to our blog. It’s soooooooo cool to finally have more ladies our age to share with and actually see what they look like. HOORAY!!!

Here goes:

My name is Karli Christman, I am 32 years old, from California-born and raised. But, now live in North Carolina . I have been married (2nd) for almost one year (March 26th) to my “dream man” and the BEST thing that ever happened to me, James. About 18 months ago, decided to get engaged, move-out and plan a wedding out of our own state. Things were CRAZY and Chaotic, but after a few plane rides to N.C., we made the BIG move in December of 05. I work as a Contract Administrator for the SCDOT and my husband works as an On-site director for a renowned staffing Co.
Overall, we are very easy-going people who love to spend time together cooking, relaxing, watching a movie, playing with our two dogs “Chance” and “Bella” who are our pride and joy. They are the two most amazing Boxer dogs you will ever want to meet. We are expecting our first NEW joy. Can’t wait! And have an EDD of 10-24-07 and could not feel any more blessed and happy!
*****
I am so glad that other people have dog babies like us. I honestly think it helps you prepare for motherhood. All the discipline, potty training, early morning walks, giving your attention to someone else, and the unconditional love they give and you have for them. Yours are adorable! I tell my DH, Ryan, that I hope our kids are half as cute as our first child (Simba). :-)

Markjenandbabymake3

Hi, I am Jen. My name on the message board is Markjenandbabymake3. I am 12 weeks and 5 days pregnant. We just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on St.Patricks Day!!. We have been together for 8 years. We got pregnant our first month of trying and are very excited. We went for our 1st OB appointment on 3/19 and got to see the peanut moving all around and waving at us. It was so cool. We also go to hear the heartbeat. We just moved to FL, bought our first home, started new jobs and now have a new baby, what a year!!! I am excited to get to know everyone. I don't have a pic to post right now.

****
Hello Jen! So glad you came to the blog. Congratulations on your amazing year! And four years together! When you get a picture ready, just send it on over and I'll throw it up here (oh, that was phrased wrong but with all the m/s this trimester, I think it's a cute pun :-)

MelMega75

Hi! My name is Melanee (Babycenter user name: MelMega75) and my EDD is Oct 1. I usually lurk on the boards because I just don't have time to get on much during the week and by the weekend, it is too late to respond to anything. However, I am always reading what everyone is posting and it is so nice to see that other first time moms are going through the same things that I am.

This baby was a surprise, as my fiancee and I are engaged to be married in August. Since we are having a destination wedding, it was too difficult to change, so I will be walking down the aisle with a big ole belly! I still haven't found a dress...*sigh*

I am 31 years old and live with my fiance and our first baby, Cash (a 1 1/2 yeard old Chesapeake Bay Retriever) in Southern California. Even if I don't post, I still enjoy reading about everyone!

*****
Melanee, WOW. A wonderful surprise for you :-) Hope the wedding planning goes smoothly. I can't imagine having to plan a wedding and be pregnant. I am very impressed! And good luck with everything! Do you have to fly to your destination?
I totally understand the first baby. Simba, our Shiba Inu, is almost two and we are worried how he will adjust to the new baby; as if he really is our first child.
If anyone has any ideas for where Melanee can find a wedding dress, post a comment for her!

Court32677

My name is Courtney and my screen name on baby center is court32677. My due date is Oct. 10. I hardly post, though . In fact I think the last time I posted was when I first joined baby center. I'm a technology dummy so it will take me a while to figure out had to take a pic and then e-mail to you. Hope to get back to you soon.

Thanks for joining Courtney! Can't wait to get a picture. :-)

To Post on Here....directions

Okay. Comments won't let you post pictures and they are hidden. So...I think this will be the best way to make this blog work. Email me at alyssa80ryan@yahoo.com and send me a bio and a picture to post on here (don't forget to include your babycenter username). I will simply cut and paste your text onto this blog page.
This way we can see each other, learn more about each person, and just have a little more options than the forum would offer. We will still post mainly on the forum, but maybe this will be where you come when you can't remember where alyssa80ryan is from or what Adams Family's real name is. More of a center of information?
And, of course, for those who love taking belly shots, just keep sending me them as you take them (every 2-4 weeks?) and we will keep this blog updated with our beautiful belly photos!! I love seeing how everyone grows differently (one out, one wide, one doesn't pop till week 16, one popped at week 8).
So just email me your info and I will transfer it here. I will post here Monday-Friday. If you send me an email on Friday night or the weekend, you won't see it here until Monday.
I sure hope you girls are excited about this and I can't wait to learn more about everyone. Here's to October 2007 New Mommies!!!

WELCOME FIRST TIME MOMS OCTOBER 2007!

I hope this will be a place to talk more, leave great links to other sites, and even post pictures.
I will start and we'll see how this goes. :-) I'm not sure if a blog lets you post pictures with comments but we'll do a few tests and see how well it works.
I hope everyone is taking belly pictures already. Mine usually just feels like a have a bigger, fatter belly but I know it is a baby and I am trying to be proud of my roundness.

This is my 11 week belly.

Also, I will post the diagram I told a lot of the girls about so you can see how our insides move around to accomodate the growing baby. very interesting.
